Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera Latest 2009 Review

This multipurpose camera is really a great design. I was most impressed by its underwater photography capability, this digital camera can store full motion underwater approx five feet in depth for almost 30 minutes, I was surprised to know this fact. I really appreciate its underwater video footage capability. Video compression integrated chips incorporated in this digital camera reduces overall power consumption while retaining a high quality for video recording.

What’s more, a memory card with the storage capacity up to 8 giga bytes is also introduced along with, I am really happy with this offering as I can now store more and more recording and photographs in it. Liquid crystal display with the size of 2.5 inches is incorporated in the unit that looks attractive. This display revolves on 285 degrees on axis. Really I appreciate the picture and video quality that this digital camera renders.

By using the face detection features, this unit provides a professional feel to captured photographs while for sensing faces, it also features the function of video face chaser.Another tempting introduction is its shake control feature that eradicates all rotational blurring, that otherwise can not be made accurate by other optical systems, it also removes all blur caused due to movements of hands.

Aiptek A-HD 720P 5MP CMOS High Definition Camcorder Latest 2009 Review

I already had a high-end Sony HD camcorder. However, I felt really uncomfortable, if my children played around with it. Besides, I could get hold of all the functions of the camera. I saw my friend using one of these Aiptek cameras. I got myself one too, as I found it pretty easy to use. And it was pretty affordable. I’ve been using the Aiptek A-HD 720P 5MP CMOS HD Camcorder for almost two months. The interface is so easy and simplified. It’s very light and compact too. What I found most useful was that I don’t need to carry any tape or DVD. I just put in an 8 GB memory card and record for over 4 hours.

Sure the picture quality isn’t as good as any expensive camcorder, but for its price and range, it gives brilliant results. The pictures are sharp and the colors are very refined. And I don’t need any software to upload or transfer my videos and pictures to my laptop.

The zoom is nothing I can boast about. However, I’m happy about being able to watch the videos shot by it on my iPhone, as it uses the H.264 movie format, which is compatible with both iPod and iPhone. I can say that it surely met my expectations from an inexpensive and simple camcorder.
